Last week, I woke early and headed out to hone my photography skills.
While I would like to put all of my award-winning photos in one post, I realized a picture truly is worth a thousand words and decided to break up the posts.

Patriotic Lambsquarters
I love how this lambsquarters frames the American flag. I should feel guilty for not weeding my gardens, but I don’t. The weeds keep coming, and all we can do is our best.
I planted Cocktail Vodka Wax Begonias beneath the flag with Green Tower Boxwood (Buxus x ‘Green Tower’) behind. This bed is in the shade, and the wax begonias are thriving!

Another great picture, I love it! And as far as lambsquarters, it is kind of a tasty weed, this one is a little overgrown, but I snake on the small ones when I find them while weeding a client’s garden. Purslane is also really tasty and very healthy and good for you. Anyway, enough of that, keep up with your good eye and great photography and keep sharing, please!
I didn’t realize lambsquarters was edible until I researched this post. They say it tastes like spinach which is a bit strong for me. However, I should give it a try. More greens can only be good.
Not as strong as spinach, actually quite mild.
